Jean Barton wants to get her hands on your hair!

Making the journey from budding protégé to in-demand professional stylist in just twelve short years, Jean has eagerly made the most out of every step in her career. After starting out at Austin’s Avant Salon under the tutelage of her Path colleague Rudolph Leon-Guerrero, Jean continued to further her own education by studying both nationally and internationally. Experience at Vidal-Sassoon, Aveda, and Bumble and Bumble, as well as the opportunity to work with such industry stars as Vivienne Mackinder, Trevor Sorbie, Antoinette Beenders, Tim Hartley, and David Adams led her to be offered the position of Educational Director at Avant in 2005. Jean also taught classes at Neil Corporation and other salons nationwide, while fine-tuning her own unique sense of style.

The evolution of Jean’s career dictated a change, and in 2007, Jean joined Path Salon with several of her trusted Austin industry peers. At Path’s funky South Congress location, you will find Jean cultivating her love of fashion, individuality, and making her clients feel both comfortable and cutting-edge at the same time. As dedicated as she is to keeping up-to-date on the latest trends, Jean is equally invested in suiting each cut and style to the face shape, personality, and overall image of the client sitting in her chair.

Like any motivated professional, Jean is constantly growing as an artist. Bringing a confidence to her work while incorporating new perspectives is one of Jean’s most valued talents. A passion for what she does, a desire to always be improving, and a calming, positive energy that makes her clients at ease combine to put Jean at the forefront of the hairstyling industry in Austin.
